Who We Are

Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines is a warm and welcoming community of faith in Hot Springs Village. Rooted in Presbyterian tradition, we believe in one eternal God, creator and sustainer of the world which we are to enjoy and care for.  We believe God is revealed in, as, and through Jesus of Nazareth, God’s son, fully human and divine.

In his death by crucifixion Jesus reconciled humanity to God.  Through his resurrection he lives eternally with God and is Lord of all creation.

We believe God’s living spirit is our guide and comfort as we endeavor to faithfully follow Jesus.

SERVICES AND PROGRAMS

The Kirk offers a wide range of opportunities to grow in faith and connect with others. From inspiring worship services to educational programs, fellowship gatherings, and community outreach, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re seeking spiritual growth, meaningful friendships, or ways to serve, you’ll find programs that nurture both your heart and spirit.

JOIN OUR COMMUNITY

We warmly invite you to become part of our church family. At Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines, you’ll be welcomed with open arms and supported in your faith journey. If you’d like to learn more about membership or our programs, please call our office and speak with the pastor—we’d love to get to know you!

What to expect?

WELCOME, GUESTS

We’re glad you’re here! All guests are warmly welcomed at Kirk in the Pines. While we won’t single anyone out during the service, we invite you to share your name and contact information so we can thank you for joining us and stay connected.

COMMUNION

We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of each month, and all are welcome to take part. No matter your background, we invite you to share in this meaningful sacrament with us.

FELLOWSHIP AFTER WORSHIP

Join us for coffee and conversation in Bailey Hall following Sunday worship. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy coffee, cookies, and fellowship with others in our church community.

Answers to Your Most Common Questions About Our Church

Whether you're a first-time visitor wondering what to expect on Saturday night or Sunday morning, a long-time member looking for ministry opportunities, or someone seeking spiritual guidance, we are here to help.

If you don't find the answer you're looking for, please reach out to our church office - we're always happy to assist you.

If I haven't been to church in a while, (or ever), will I fit in?

We welcome all of God's beloved children, whether you can recite the creeds or not. All are welcome at Kirk in the Pines.

I'm new. How should I get started?

Welcome! As a first step, contact the church office to sign up for a Visitor / New Member course led by Pastor Randy Hyde by calling the church office at (501) 922-1333 or emailing kirkoffice1@gmail.com. We can't wait to get to know you better. You will be added to our Newsletter Voice in the Pines list where you will receive information on various events and gatherings.

How can I get more involved?

Many members and non-member friends are involved in all areas of the church's life. If you sing, consider joining the Kirk Choir.  You can also serve by bringing your time and talent to one of our committees that support the Kirk including Worship, Christian Education, Communications, Fellowship, Missions, Congregational Care, and more.  You will automatically be assigned to one of our Shepherd Groups which will provide opportunities to get to know other members of the congregation.

How to join?

Joining the church begins with these questions:

  • Do you trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?

  • Will you be a faithful member of this congregation, share in its worship and ministry through your prayers and gifts, your study and service and so fulfill your calling to be a disciple of Jesus Christ?

We welcome new members at close of each worship service and offer to help connect you into the life of the church.
